Feezy ("we," "our," "the app") is a school fee management application for Android. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how it is shared — including through third-party services like WhatsApp.
1. Who this policy covers
Feezy is used by school owners and school staff ("School Administrators") to manage fee records for their students. In most cases, the School Administrator is the data controller for student and parent information they enter into Feezy, and Feezy acts as a data processor on their behalf. This policy describes how Feezy, as processor, handles that data.
2. Information we collect
- Student information: name, class/section, and fee records entered by the School Administrator.
- Parent/guardian contact information: name and phone number, used to send fee reminders and receipts.
- Payment information: fee amounts, due dates, and payment status. Feezy does not directly process card or bank payment transactions.
- Account information: the School Administrator's login credentials and business details (school name, contact number).
- Device and usage data: basic technical information (app version, device type) used for troubleshooting and improving the app.
3. How we use this information
- To display fee status and records to School Administrators within the app.
- To send fee reminders, payment confirmations, and receipts to parents/guardians via WhatsApp.
- To maintain and improve the app's functionality and reliability.
4. Sharing with third parties
WhatsApp (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — Feezy uses the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) to send fee reminders and payment receipts to parents/guardians. To do this, parent/guardian phone numbers and relevant message content (such as fee amount and due date) are shared with Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform for the sole purpose of message delivery. This sharing is governed by Meta's WhatsApp Business Data Processing Terms.
- Firebase (Google LLC) — we use Firebase for authentication, data storage (Firestore), and app infrastructure. Data stored in Firebase is subject to Google's data processing and security practices.
- We do not sell student, parent, or school data to any third party.
- We do not use student or parent data for advertising purposes.
5. Multi-school / multi-tenant use
Feezy may be used by multiple, independent schools. Each School Administrator's data is kept logically separate. A School Administrator using Feezy can only access the student and fee records for their own school.
6. Data retention
We retain student, parent, and fee data for as long as the School Administrator's account remains active, or as required to provide the service. School Administrators may request deletion of their school's data at any time by contacting us.
7. Data security
We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted storage and authentication via Firebase, to protect the information collected through Feezy.
8. Your rights
School Administrators, parents, or guardians who wish to access, correct, or delete their information can contact us using the details below. We will respond to all requests within a reasonable time frame.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
